In characteristic ebMpire style, I am making New Year's style resolutions really really late. Or really early. Depending on how you look at it. And well, they aren't "resolutions" anyway so i guess it doesn't really matter. Just observations.
And now, without further abstraction on my part... I present what 2002 revealed to me though a Ouija board and my own beating heart. (oh and some have nothing to do with 2002, they're just in general) Oh fuck it.
The Good Things
Maintaining child-like enthusiasm about things that are truly deserving of it. Seriously. If you can't see things through the eyes of a little kid, or be astounded by new things, people and experiences the way you were when you were a kid, you are fucked. You are doomed to be a miserable schreck. Stay gold, ponyboy.

I think I ate a mango for the first time in 2002? It was good.

Coke with the lemon built in
Girls who are really conscious of their ponytails. You know, they do that sorta bouncy walk so it's all swing-left, swing-right, swing-left, etc.
Avant-Porn (or the kitschification of porn) see: Prada website, OCAD, hipster house parties across North America
My very first nervous breakdown - no, not the Television Personalities song of the same name (which would have to fall under 'good things'), but rather, a nervous breakdown
What the world is doing to Martha Stewart. Oh leave her ALONE. And I feel really strongly about this. I really hate when people say things to me like "She is a real bitch. You know that don't you?" when they find out that I worship Martha Stewart. I never said I liked her because she was NICE. I don't care what she did with ImClone. I don't care that everyone quits Omnimedia in tears after 3 months. That woman can't go to jail.
Drama (king!)
writer's block
